Ryan Sam is a registered patent and trademark attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ryan has worked with clients on a large variety of patent matters, including the filing of numerous patent applications, successfully overturning Office Actions issued by USPTO patent examiners, and has helped clients with patent litigation matters and patent enforcement. 

 

Ryan has also successfully helped clients with their trademark matters, including the filing of numerous trademark applications, overcoming Office Actions issued by trademark examiners, and enforcing trademark rights. 

 

Along with intellectual property, Ryan has also worked with clients on a wide range of business matters including entity formation, membership purchase agreements, and licensing of intellectual property and other related agreements. 

Ryan has worked with inventors on many different technologies such as medical devices, computer software, mechanical technologies, biotechnology, automotive parts and systems, as well as inventions in clothing, toys, sporting equipment, etc.  

Notable Cases

Ryan successfully reversed, on appeal before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, trademark examining attorney's refusal to register a trademark based on a disclaimer requirement, a deceptiveness refusal, and a required amendment to the goods and services. In re Carl Robinson, Serial No. 87/688,141.
